The BSc International Relations degree is for students who wish to engage critically with the range of materials about contemporary international relations. It will also equip the students with sufficient knowledge about international relations to understand global issues like environmental degradation and economic globalisation.

Units offered for BSc (Hons) International Relations

A student has to study Twelve units in three years:

Foundation units:
  • Introduction to International Relations
  • Introduction to Modern Political Thought OR
  • Introduction to political science AND

TWO Courses from the following

  • Business and Management in a Global Context
  • Mathematics1(Half unit)
  • Statistics1(Half unit)
  • Contemporary Sociology in a Global Age
  • Principles of Accounting
  • Principles of Banking and Finance
  • Introduction to Information Systems

Eight Further units from:
  • International Political Economy
  • International Political Theory
  • International Organisations
  • Foreign Policy Analysis
  • Security and International Relations
  • Complex emergencies and humanitarian responses OR
  • Development Management OR
  • Global Environmental Problems and Politics OR
  • Nationalism and International Relations OR
  • Development Management OR
  • Global Environmental Problems and Politics OR
  • Comparative Politics OR
  • Democracy and Democratisation OR
  • Politics and Policies of The European Union OR
  • Political Analysis and Public Choice OR
Eligibility:

To be eligible for the BSc degrees, an applicant must:

  • normally be at least 17 years old and
  • have GCSE/GCE 'O' level in Mathematics and English Language with at least grade C or equivalent and
  • have two subjects at GCE 'A' Level, plus at least three further subjects at GCSE/GCE 'O' level (at not less than grade C) or
  • three subjects at GCE 'A' level (with one 'A' level at not less than grade D) or
  • three subjects at GCE 'A' level, plus one further subject at GCSE/GCE 'O' level (at not less than grade C) or
  • two subjects at GCE 'A' level, plus two further subjects at GCE 'AS' level or
  • BA/BSc/BCom from any recognised university of Pakistan or
  • High School Diploma plus two APs (excluding Studio Art)

If you do not meet the Entrance Requirements

If you do not meet the Entrance Requirements for the degree programme, you have the option of registering for the following qualifications which provide an entry route to all degrees in the field of Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences:
