The CertHE Common Law is a qualification in its own right that also provides an entry route to degree study. The subjects studied in the CertHE are the same as the Level 4 subjects of the LLB degree.
The CertHE Common Law is intended for students who satisfy the normal entrance requirements for the LLB degree but who choose not to register for the degree because they would like to gain a recognised qualification after one year, as well as for those who may not have had the chance to meet these requirements but can demonstrate that they have the ability, motivation and maturity to study at this level.
Features of the CertHE Common Law
- You can achieve a widely recoginsed law qualification in some of the core legal subjects without committing to the full LLB programme, but with the option to go on to the full LLB programme.
